Jumping Grebennikov eyes another individual honour

 

Grebennikov has been the Best Libero in three recent tournaments - The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Poland 2014, the 2015 CEV European Championship and the 2016 CEV Champions League

Krakow, Poland, July 16, 2016 - French libero Jenia Grebennikov has been one the stars of these FIVB Volleyball World League Finals and his outstanding performances has him on the right track to add another individual honour in Krakow.

Grebennikov is on top of the best diggers ranking with a 4.30 average per set, including 43 digs and 16 faults from a total of 59 attempts. He showed his excellent skills in the match against Serbia jumping high over the bench to bring the ball back to play.





Grebennikov was named the Best Libero in three major tournaments in three consecutive years: The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Poland 2014, the 2015 CEV European Championship and the 2016 CEV Champions League. He was also a member of the French squad who claimed the 2015 FIVB World League title and 2015 CEV European Championship title.




Grebennikov, who was born in Rennes as a son of a former Russian volleyball player and coach, made his debut for the French national team in 2011. At club level he plays for Italian side Cucine Lube Civitanova.
