Serbian Slobodan Boskan led Montenegro men's national team to gold medal success in the 2014 European League in his first year in charge. Prior to the 2015 World League, Montenegro's men's team had never before featured in the tournament. Before becoming head coach of Montenegro's men's team, Boskan, who was born in the city of Novi Sad, won gold medals as a player with Yugoslavia at the 2000 Olympic Games and 2001 European Championships. He also played for the French club team Tours VB when they won the 2004/05 European Champions League title. Boskan also currently serves as the coach of Montenegro club team Budvanska Rivijera Budvam and owns Serbian club side OK Dunav Volley.
