Puerto Rico ready to roll after 28-hour trip to Greece

 

Puerto Rico have recovered from their 28-hour trip

Kozani, Greece, June 15, 2016 – After a 28-hour journey, the Puerto Rico men’s volleyball team arrived in Kozani to take part in the FIVB World League.

Javier Gaspar’s squad had a physical work on Wednesday at their hotel in Kozani, a small city in the Greek region of Macedonia.

They will face Chinese Taipei, Greece and Kazakhstan in this weekend’s action.

“After the long journey, the boys have adapted well,” Gaspar said. “The goal in the next training is to keep improving and be ready to play our best over the three days.”

Puerto Rico will first face Chinese Taipei on Friday.

“We are studying their videos and information on their players,” Gaspar said. “We will work on what they do and how we can counter them with our offense.”

The Puerto Rico squad consists of: Edgardo Goas, Dennis Del Valle, Sierra Pedrito, Sequiel Sanchez, Steven Morales, Eddie Rivera, Kevin Lopez, Pedro Nieves, Arturo Iglesias, Jonathan Rodriguez, Ricardo Archilla and Josue Rivera.
