Mexico's Azair: The scars of the previous tournaments are evident

Mexico's Head Coach Jorge Azair talking about the match

Mexico City, Mexico, June 18, 2016 - Montenegro remains unbeaten in Group 3 of the FIVB World League after beating Mexico in four sets (25-19, 21-25, 25-21, 25-23) in Gimnasio Olimpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City.

Vojin Cacic, Montenegro, captain: The result doesn’t reflect the difficult match we faced against Mexico. Yesterday’s 3-2 game wasn’t as demanding. I am very pleased to remain unbeaten and hopefully we will finish this tournament so that we go into the next round in Tunisia with an advantage.

Slobodan Boskan, Montenegro, coach: I am always looking to give positive energy to my team. I do get mad because my players were complaining too much with the referees, I insist that they need to focus on our game, on what do we do and not pay attention to the referees nor the opponents. My opinion is it was a great performance by Mexico but I want to congratulate my team for the great fight.

Pedro Rangel, Mexico, captain: Despite playing better today than yesterday, unfortunately our continuous mistakes cost us the loss. Mexico is on track and I’m satisfied with our performance. Montenegro battled strong and they were difficult to read, this was expected.

Jorge Azair, Mexico, coach: The scars of the previous tournaments are evident. Mexico is not used to be winning every fifteen days like our opponents; we are used to preparing in two months and this is something to be worked on. Mexico started yesterday and today very slow. The three teams here don’t turn away from their game plan, we should learn about them.
