Kozani, Greece, June 19, 2016 – Greece are yet to drop a set in this year’s FIVB Volleyball World League, and will want to continue that good run of form against Chinese Taipei.
Head-to-Head
· Greece and Chinese Taipei have met once before at a major tournament. At the 1986 World Championship, Greece won in straight sets.
· Chinese Tapei's last encounters with CEV sides came at the 2008 World Olympic Qualification Tournament when they were defeated by Germany (3-0) and Spain (3-1).
Greece
· Greece have won their opening two matches at the 2016 World League in straight sets, against Kazakhstan and Puerto Rico.
· They could start the tournament with three wins for the first time since 2003.
· Last year, they had a run of three victories against Slovakia (2) and Mexico.
· They have never won three World League matches in a row without conceding a single set.
· Rafail Koumentakis (23) is Greece's leading scorer at the World League. Against Puerto Rico Mitar Tzourits scored most points (12), two more than Koumentakis.
Chinese Taipei
· Chinese Taipei suffered their first World League loss against Kazakhstan (3-0) after winning the first one this campaign in straight sets against Puerto Rico.
· Wu Tsung-Hsuan is the leading top scorer of Chinese Taipei at the World League with 27 points.
· Huang Pei-Hung is the best setter of Chinese Taipei in the World League with an average of 2.67 per set.
