Coach Chen: All credit goes to my players

Coach Chen is understandably happy with his team following a 3-1 win over Kazakhstan

Almaty, Kazakhstan, June 26, 2016 – Chinese Taipei conquered the host team Kazakhstan 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-22) at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace on Sunday. However, they will need to await results from the other pools as they aim for a potential spot at the FIVB Volleyball World League Group 3 Finals.

Ke-Chou Chen, coach of Chinese Taipei: Today my players performed really well, that’s all I can really say and all credit is due to them. We hope to go the finals in Frankfurt but we have to wait a little more for the other results.

Chien-Chen Chen, captain of Chinese Taipei
: We are so happy to get the win today against Kazakhstan team. It’s a very good and fast game and there were stressful moments, but we were able to overcome them.

Pei-Hung Huang, player of Chinese Taipei: This is the first time we played in the World League so there was no heavy pressure on us. We just wanted to enjoy the game and relax as we play. We also just needed to follow the strategy and stick to the game plan of our coach and I think this is what worked for us.

Rafail Gilyazutdinov, coach of Kazakhstan: I would like to apologize to our followers, but at the same time, I am thankful for my players. They worked hard these few days, but I think our main problem was the pressure that we are playing at home.
Alexandr Stolnikov, captain of Kazakshstan: We were not able to execute the game plan. Our coach wanted us to attack more but some of our players were not able to carry this responsibility to the fullest.
