Slovakia coach Palgut: "Service was the key to our victory"

Bratislava, Slovakia, June 23 2016 - Slovakia win their first ever meeting against Cuba in four sets in Pool D, Group 2 of the World League, with Stefan Chrtiansky scoring 13 points to lead his side to victory.

Miroslav Palgut, head coach Slovakia: "The service was key of our victory, because we caused a lot of problems in first and fourth set to our opponents. When Cuba had good receive, it was difficult to defend. Only way to win this match was good service. We are happy that we won this match against strong opponent and we want also to beat Nederlands in next match."

Emanuel Kohut, captain of Slovakia: "We put maximum effort today and it was great match from our side. We lost concentration in the third set, but I am happy that we came back in fourth set and victory is very good for us. Now we need to concentrate on our next opponent. We know it will be though, because Nederdlands is very strong team."

Rolando Cepeda Abreu, captain of Cuba: "The match did not finished in a way we wanted. We made a lot of errors in reception and that is why we lost first two sets. We play better in third set, but finally we lost. We will try to play better in next matches."
