Bratislava, Slovakia, June 25, 2016 - Czech Republic prevailed over Slovakia in five sets and claimed their third victory in the tournament. Coach Miguel Angel Falasca said that his team showed character with three five-sets wins.
Miguel Angel Falasca, coach of Czech Republic: We are happy, we played good game and we were fighting all the time. It is not easy to win three tie-breaks in one tournament, it shows that our team has character and it's very important.
Miroslav Palgut, coach of Slovakia: We are disappointed, because we had big lead in the second set. Czechs served very well in tie-break and we did not find an answer. This tournament is over and we will go to China.
Ales Holubec, captain of Czech Republic: We won all three matches and we are happy. Slovaks beat us in last years, so we are satisfied with this victory. We played nice sets here, but this arena is perfect, so it was lot of fun. Our team is young and every match for us is new experience for us.
Emanuel Kohut, captain of Slovakia: We started very well, but than we lost focus and consistency. This is because our team is young and unexperienced. It is a pitty that we lost second set. We are sad, but I think we played good volleyball in front of our fans.
