Finland coach delighted with "great team"

Cairo, Egypt, June 26, 2016 - Finland claimed an important victory over Japan and added three points to their tally as their FIVB Volleyball World League weekend came to an end.

Masashi Nambu, coach of Japan: We did well in the second set and we made a mistake at the last points, that was awful to make mistakes. The second set was a turning point for the match.

We won the third set but in the fourth set we suffered from the nice serve of Finland.

We lost three matches but young players get experience and next week when we go to China we used young players also.

Tuomas Sammelvuo, coach of Finland: It was a great game for us we played like a great team. We had long rallies from both teams defending well, especially Japan who are great in defence. I think also both teams are really tired today. The mental toughness and heart we had today was good.

This win is a good answer from the team following the loss yesterday. I am really proud of these players and staff members.

I don’t talk about revenge we get better and this a long path and I like to compete and the desire to win.
