Dutch revenge for losing to Czech Republic last week

Seoul, Korea, July 2, 2016 - The Netherlands claimed a 3-1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-23, 25-16) win against Czechia at the FIVB Volleyball World League Group 2 tournament in Korea.

Gido Vermeulen, coach of the Netherlands: "The first set was good, many errors in the second set, and the third set was good again. We are ready to play against Korea tomorrow. They are a very good defense team and our strategy is to hit hard."

Miguel Angel Falasca, coach of the Czech Republic: "First, congratulations to the Netherlands. Our team lost by a large margin. We could not catch up in the score."

Jasper Diefenbach, captain of the Netherlands: "I am happy with the victory. Last week we lost to the Czech Republic. We adapted well with today’s game plan. They always change their plan. They changed the setter so we were confused about their plan."

Ales Holubec, captain of the Czech Republic: "Congratulations to the Netherlands! I think we played better than yesterday, but the Netherlands' serving was better than ours and they did not make many errors. That’s why they won the game."
