Video: Insane rally keeps USA in match

USA's Aaron Russel scoring one of his 16 points

Kraków, Poland, July 14, 2016 - USA may have lost their opening FIVB Volleyball World League match to Italy on Thursday in four sets but they kept it alive in the third set with this epic rally.

Two sets down and locked at 26-26, USA played incredible volleyball including a superb double save from libero Erik Shoji and middle blocker David Smith before Aaron Russell (16 points for the match) spiked off the block to clinch an important point. Those were 26 seconds packed with great spikes, digs and blocks from both sides before USA's top scorer with 21 points Matt Anderson finished things off with an unstoppable serve to give USA the third set 28-26.
