Mauricio leads Brazil to 3-1 win over France

Brazil beat France 3-1 on Sunday

Nancy, France, July 3, 2016 - Brazil overpowered France 3-1 (25-21, 26-24, 22-25, 25-21) in Nancy on Sunday.

With the teams already qualified for the Final Six tournament in Krakow, they were both looking to finish the group stage with a win.

The first set saw Brazil dominate the net with their blocks (15 kill-blocks in total). Showing signs of tension, Les Bleus managed to stay close but Wallace finished the set with an ace at 25-21.

Second set saw more of the same, with Brazil keeping their cool in the key moments which allowed them to win a tight finish, 26-24.

Thanks to Rossard's two aces in a row, France created a gap in the second set, which they were able to hold on to for most of the set. Still, they needed four set points to close it out at 25-22.

Brazil came back in the last set with Mauricio leading the charge. The outside-spiker scored 19 points in the match. Much like in the opening set, Wallace served an ace to give his team a 25-21 win.
