After winning the first friendly against Argentina on Thursday 3-0, Brazil triumphed again on Saturday, this time 3-1 (28-26, 24-26, 25-17, 25-23). Previously, Brazil had beaten Slovenia in three training matches along with one drawn match limited to four sets.

“It's always good to come out victorious,” said Lucarelli, who started alongside William, Evandro, Eder, Sidão and Lipe. “Argentina is always a team that works hard and their defensive system is tough for any team. We had a good test, both here and against Slovenia. They are two different styles, so it was really worthwhile.”

Brazil will start their World League campaign on June 16 against Iran at Arena Carioca 1, located in the Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro. Argentina and the United States will be their other opponents.

After that, the team will go to Serbia and France for the other two stages of the World League.
