Argentine men start training at Cenard

 

Sixteen players attended the first week of training for the Argentine men's team at Cenard in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 14, 2016 – The Argentine men’s team started with their preparations for the demanding international season, which marks their return to Group 1 in the FIVB Volleyball World League and the much-anticipated Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Sixteen players will attend the first week of training at the Cenard facilities, while the other players will join the training after completing their commitments with their respective national and foreign clubs.

The players are already training using their uniforms from Sonder, the new sponsor of the men’s team.

The players which have attended the first week of training are setters Juan Martin Riganti, Matias Sanchez; opposites Javier Vega, Manuel Leskiw, Bruno Lima; middle blockers Facundo Imhoff, Fabian Flores, Ivan Postemsky, Lucas Armesto; outside spikers Cristian Poglajen, Ezequiel Palacios, Jan Martinez, Lisandro Zanotti, Rodrigo Quiroga; and liberos Ignacio Fernandez and Franco Lopez.

A total of 34 players were summoned for the whole season by coach Julio Velasco, who will arrive in Argentina on April 22.
