Antiga - It was a challenging match for young players

 

Bulgaria's Tsvetan Sokolov deals with Poland's triple block

Kaliningrad, Russia, June 17, 2016 - Coach Stephane Antiga was satisfied with his team's victory over Bulgaria at their opening match of 2016 World League. Antiga arrived to Russia with many young names on his roster and praised his players for their eagerness to play.

Stephane Antiga, coach of Poland: That was a difficult match for us. We had a big troubles with serving in the first set, but managed to solve that problem during the game. I'm happy to gain this victory, Bulgaria is quite a strong team. We had young players in our roster and that was a challenge for them. I'm happy that they were all eager to play for the national team.

Plamen Konstantinov, coach of Bulgaria: It was our worse game in this season and it was a very important match. We did not expect this result and we are upset. We are ready to fight in the second match.

Karol Klos, captain of Poland: We started badly, but then calmed down a little and changed the flow of the game. It's great to start a big tournament with a victory. We are happy to manage that.

Viktor Yosifov, captain of Bulgaria: We started well, but we made too many mistakes and could not find solution. This is only beginning of this season and maybe we need some more time to play better.
