Frankfurt am Main, Germany, July 1, 2016 – Coaches and captains gave their statements to the press after the match Germany – Chinese Taipei that qualified the home team to the final on Saturday here at Fraport Arena.

Ke-Chou Chen, Chinese Taipei coach: “We have played against a very strong team from Germany. My team was able to improve the performance set by set, so I’m satisfied with the result.”

Chien-Chen Chen, Chinese Taipei captain: “We never played against a team that is so tall and high classified in the world ranking. It was a good possibility to learn for our future.”

Lukas Kampa, Germany setter: “I’m glad that we could manage it in three sets. Chinese Taipei found more and more into the game due to our lost service pressure. So it was very important to end it with a well working block-defence system.”

Vital Heynen, Germany coach: “The best teams here are Slovenia and Greece. Chinese Taipei was the team that we had to beat and we made in a very smart way. We will have a new game tomorrow and should improve our performance if we want to win the tournament.”
